The RLM-19BX calculator application is a extensive set of menus and enhancements builded over a modified simulation of the real HP-17BII and HP-19BII Business Consultant calculators by Hewlett Packard with more functions than the real one in a beautiful high definition interface.
The RLM-19BX works in the same way of the real calculator. But, more functionalities were added, some were modified and others deleted in order to offer a calculator with the best user experience in the modern iOS devices.
Scientific & Math functionality:
- Angles & Polar: Angular conversions units ‘from’ or ’to Deg, Rad, Grad, degree-minute-second and % slope.
- Complete set of common scientific functions (Trig., Hyp, Log, etc.)
- Complex Math: Operations and functions with complex numbers stack.
- Curve Fitting: six regression models to fit a curve over a two selected data- lists.
- One and two variables statistics.
- Probability Distributions: Normal, t-Student, Exponential & Weibull distributions.

- Units Conversion: Adds a powerful and completely customizable physical units conversion.
- Units Editor: Add, delete, edit and order the units and categories.

- Black-Scholes OVM: Calculates “Call” & “Put” options prices of European Options.
- Bonds Price & Yield: with Annual or Semiannual coupons and Actual or 30/360 calendars.
- Cash Flows Calculations: Calculates NPV,i%,IRR%,NFV,MIRR, NUS, etc. over cash flows series.
- Cash Flows Editor: Create, Edit, Save & Load cash flows series.
- Currency Exchange: All world currencies with actual online rates from google finance.
- Depreciation with DB, SOYD or SL methods.
- Interest conversion with effective rate comparison for up to three nominal rates.
- Margins & Break-Even: calculate business margins and production break-even over all variables.
- Percent Change and Percent Total.
- TVM calculations: “Time Value of Money” problems for loans, amortizations, mortgages, etc.

Let me start by saying that this program is very well designed, and in many ways superior to what was a great, under appreciated calculator. It comes with many added features like, for instance, A Black-Scholes calculator, an expanded conversions calculator, the ability to upload real time currency conversions with a touch of a button, using google finance as the source data. However, the App is not fully compatible with iOS 10 and either losses some functionality or gives false results for some of the functions, thankfully not the ones you will probably, predominantly use. The iCloud backup feature does not work in iOS 10 and some of the conversions are incorrect. The combination and permutation functions within the solver also do not function correctly. The developers say they are working on an upgrade but dont know when it will become available. Until then, if you can overlook the compatibility limitations, this is a great calculator.
I first bought the RLM 17BII. Found it did not have the very useful "Units" function in my real world 19BII. Later saw RLM 19BII, bought it and still no Units function (in fact a whole second set of functions accessed by "More" button are missing. A bit misleading to advertise it as a 19BII equivalent.
I like this app. It is mostly true to the actual calculator. I appreciate the additional functions that were not part of the actual calculator. If I could change two things, I would like to be able to swipe and get the buttons from the other half of the calculator to display. More importantly, I wish the soft keys were in the same order as on the original. I use unit conversion a lot and the inch to mm conversion are on the same row of buttons on the original calculator, but are several sets apart on the iPhone version. While is suspect this is so they can be alphabetical, it disrupts my workflow. Perhaps have the added units on subsequent rows rather than mixed in with the originals or allow the user to organize the bottoms on the sets of soft keys as they like.
Just broke my 6th HP 19bii calculator owned over the past 12 years, cant find a decent used one for less than $100. I have been searching for an app to replace what is still the best functioning real estate finance calculator (in terms of ease of use / functionality, not durability), finally you have it here, thank you. Not all the features of the original HP machine are here, but most of what I use on a daily basis for work in real estate and finance are on this. However, there are some features missing. I would love to see the addition of the units conversion menus (calculates things like acres to square feet, etc.) which are under the BUS menu on the real HP machine. This is reason for 4 stars not 5. Thanks for making the app, and please keep enhancing the features to be more like the real HP 19bii!
Ive had a 19B II that Ive carried for 20 plus years. It finally started circling the drain so Ive had to handle it gingerly. Amazingly, I stumble across this marvelous app. Does everything I expected. THANK YOU!! If you buy this app you will NOT be disappointed!
